Like, multibrush works, but not the mirror lines.

I changed the way sampling works, so now the color smudging with this engine works reliably on floating point images.

The eraser mode now works, mypaint’s own colorize mode as well (though I am skeptical that the colorize mode is correct, need to double-check).

This is especially apparant when you try smudging orange and black. This is necessary because otherwise smudging gets weird banding artifacts.

Color smudge should now be done in the precise manner that the color smudge engine is also using.

So I’ve been smashing my head against the mypaint brush engine the past two weeks and fixed a bunch of bugs: I think I should ping and too, since they have worked in making official mypaint brushes so they can test the behaviour more thoroughly than me. Thank you once again for working on this. I will be testing more and I will update the list here.

This happens only in this app image and not on the master branch. You can try the “j) Water C” series of brushes. These brushes are made by pixel brush engine of Krita I don’t know how my paint engine is affecting these. Instead of painting the mask they now have black and white image as their dab thus making them weird and buggy. All the new water colour brushes made by seem to have problem with their brush tip. It would be great to have a Tag associated with all the my paint brush to filter them out. Just draw big rapid circular strokes and you will notice it. The brushes to test 2b pencil, marker fat for example. Like you get when you have weighted smoothing enabled. Might be related to the above bug, but when drawing strokes too fast the brush seems to feel like it is tied down and draws heavily optimised strokes.
